Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Applied AI Academy (“AAA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you use our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account data — name, email address, password, profile preferences, and learning-path selections.
- Waitlist data — email address and any optional information you share when joining the waitlist.
- Lesson activity — answers, prompts, and submissions you create inside lessons and AI sandboxes.
- Payment data — handled by our payment processors (e.g., Apple, Google, Stripe). We receive confirmation of purchase and a transaction identifier but do not store full card numbers.
- Support communications — messages, attachments, and contact details you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — device model, operating system, language, IP address, crash logs, and interactions with the Service.
- Cookies and similar technologies — used on our website for authentication, analytics, and preferences. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Information from third parties
If you sign in using a third-party service (such as Apple or Google), we receive the basic profile information that service shares with us in accordance with your privacy settings.
2. How we use information
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- Personalize learning paths, recommendations, and content.
- Process transactions and send related confirmations.
- Communicate with you, respond to requests, and send product updates you’ve opted into.
- Detect, prevent, and address security incidents, fraud, and abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
3. AI features and your prompts
The Service includes AI-powered lessons and practice environments. Prompts and content you submit may be sent to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google) strictly to generate a response to you. We do not sell this content and we do not permit providers to use it to train their public models except where you explicitly opt in. Do not submit confidential, regulated, or sensitive personal information into AI features.
4. How we share information
We share personal information only in the following circumstances:
- Service providers — vendors that host infrastructure, process payments, deliver email, provide analytics, or power AI features, bound by confidentiality obligations.
- Legal and safety — to comply with law, lawful requests, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AAA, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
- With your consent — when you ask us to share information or direct us to do so.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
5. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer required, we delete or anonymize it.
6. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal information.
- Port a copy of your information to another service.
- Object to, restrict, or withdraw consent for certain processing.
- Opt out of marketing communications (via the unsubscribe link in any email).
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
To exercise these rights, email hello@appliedai.academy. We will verify your request and respond within the period required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we’ve collected, the categories of sources, the business purposes for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it. You may also request deletion or correction, and designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
Our legal bases for processing are: performance of a contract, compliance with a legal obligation, our legitimate interests (e.g., securing and improving the Service), and your consent where required. When we transfer data outside your region, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
8. Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Third-party links and services
The Service may link to third-party sites or integrate third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the most recent revision.
